Our lighthouse through the fog

The last two weeks are a blur of stressful sleeplessness. Pumping 10x a day after feeding 10x a day to try to bring my milk in. Finger and supplement feeding through a tiny SNS tube. Torturing Sawyer with a cold washcloth to try to keep him awake while eating. Mother's milk tea, Fenugreek and Blessed Thissle, Guinness, Oatmeal, Berkeley Farmer's Market for fresh sprouted fenugreek...

Thank goodness Mom (Oma) was here to take care of us or we might not have made it! She cooked every meal, did every dish, laundry, took night feedings, brought me water and tea, washed all pumping accessories, shopped, cleaned, and pretty much did everything. Especially important was cuddling and loving on Sawyer so Mom & Dad could work and nap.

Now that we don't have to supplement and don't have to feed or pump as often, I think we can let her go home. She's already lost 5 pounds, she might waste away if we keep her here any longer!
