It may be a father's proudest moment when his son first quotes a movie (even if he doesn't know he's doing so) -- especially when the movie is a classic screwball comedy such as Sixteen Candles.
Last night as Sawyer was eating dinner, he picked up some food and said "I want to run with it."
I, using my best Grandpa Howard imitation, replied, "Well you don't run with it, boy, you eat it! Hahahahaha!"
Without batting an eyelash, Sawyer immediately replied, "Not run, eat" followed by the hilarious Sawyer-imitating-Dad-imitating-Grandpa-Howard laugh.
Cindy and I doubled over.
